On our way out of town we stopped at the St. Louis Cemetery to walk around and snap some photos. My husband had just been given a great camera from his mom and had been wanting to capture more of our adventures so we can turn them into large scale prints for our home. It may sound like an odd place to start, but there is something so hauntingly beautiful about this place. It's hard to put into words but if you have been here you know what I mean. The stones are monumental, some dating back to pre-1900's, so it is impossible to take in the experience without being moved. If you ever get a chance to visit New Orleans, put this on your itinerary and make sure you stop in. It's a powerful place...

Last spring my husband and I went to visit my bestie + her rad BF in New Orleans - a city we have both been to quite a few times. It goes without saying it is one special place + there is really no where else quite like it.

Sticking to the theme of bright colors, this town has zero shortage of bold + beautiful. You can stroll through the neighborhoods and find splashes of vibrant hues everywhere. Its incredible to see the colors playing off one another, from bars + businesses, to homes + courtyards. Its the perfect place to be inspired visually, and of course, musically as well.
